Cost: $5 per adult
Purchase tickets at Augusta Locally Grown (ALG) under the “classes and workshop” category or directly through the farm by paypal to firstname.lastname@example.org (note that it is for the “fruit tree workshop”). If you do not have paypal or use ALG, email the Farm at the address given above and we will reply with your list number as confirmation. Confirmed attendees may pay at the event with cash or check.

Sunday Feb 5, 2017 from 2 to 5 pm **alternate rain date Feb 12-see farm Facebook page or website for the latest update if rain is predicted.
Mr. Larsen will demonstrate:
- pruning methods for apple, pear, peach, fig, plum, and other trees.
- placing a tree guard
- why and how to protect from sunscald
- fertilizing fruit trees (although not “due” til march)
- planting methods recommended for a fruit tree.
- cleft grafting, if time permits.
All will participate in pruning and/or sunscald protection if they desire. Bring your loppers/nippers suitable for small branches If you have them. Dress comfortably for walking with close toed shoes. Handouts will be provided for take home reference. Interested children are OK if well-behaved. Limited to 25 attendees to allow all to see/participate.
Fees generated will go to reimburse the speaker travel expense and materials and to ALG community projects, with a small portion reserved for farm expenses. Light refreshments will be provided (water, cookies, etc). Bring your reusable water bottle!
